THERESA PATENAUDE (she/her)

Speech-Language Pathologist, Owner

I love being a speech-language pathologist and building a relationship with my clients since 2014. During the first 8 years of my career I worked as a speech-language pathologist with the Ottawa Catholic School Board, gaining experience across the city and learning the ins and ous of Ontario’s school system.

Working in the schools was rewarding; in fact, it sparked my interest in reading and writing intervention. After that experience, my time at the school board, I decided to move into private practice so that I could have a greater impact on individual children. Now, I help kids improve their reading and writing, the clarity and smoothness of their speech, and their understanding and use of language. Above all, I strive to build their confidence as  communicators. I work with a wide range of clients and am dedicated to providing individualized treatment for each one.

Like many of the families I support, I am also a parent. My son has taught me more about life than I ever imagined, and I am forever grateful I get to be his mom. Consequently, the lessons I’ve learned as a parent deeply inform my work with children and families.

I offer all my services in English and/or French.
