Help for speech, language, stuttering and literacy in Ottawa
I’m Theresa Patenaude and I’m a speech-language pathologist and the founder of All Aboard Communication. I opened a private practice in September 2022 to offer children and adolescents help with speech, language, stuttering and literacy in both English and French. Since then, some colleagues joined All Aboard Communication to help serve more kids and families. We are located centrally in Ottawa, Ontario.
Je m’appelle Theresa Patenaude et je suis une orthophoniste. J’ai commencé à travailler en pratique privé en septembre 2022 pour offrir des services aux enfants et aux adolescents en anglais et en français. Je travaille avec des clients qui ont besoin d’appui pour la prononciation des mots, le développement du langage, le bégaiement, et les habiletés en lecture et en écriture. Des collègues ont rejoint All Aboard Communication en 2025 pour servir plus d’enfants et de familles. Mon bureau est situé au centre d’Ottawa.
SERVICES
We offer in-person services at 2485 Kaladar Ave. Unit 205 starting in October 2025. We also offer virtual therapy sessions. We provide all speech therapy and literacy services in English and in French. Speech therapy services can also be offered in Tagalog.
We offer comprehensive assessments to guide treatments. These can be called diagnostic assessments where very specific aspects of speech, language, or literacy are identified for systematic and explicit intervention. In our practice, we collaborate with my clients to determine their goals for communication or literacy. We build a positive therapeutic or educational relationship and use evidence based treatments that are tailored to each client and family. We work with individuals in the following areas:
- Stuttering (children, adolescents)
- Reading and writing (children or adolescents who may or may not be diagnosed with dyslexia)
- Speech sound production (e.g., articulation of speech, children & adolescents)
- Language growth and development (toddlers, preschoolers, school-age)
- Aphasia
